Where does the President watch new movies?

I mean, he obviously doesn't just go to the local movie theater... so does he have his own big screen in the White House or something?

Where does the President watch new movies?ms stress

The White House has had a private screening room for many years. There was even a made-for-cable movie about this; see the link below.

Is a 3 year old too young to go to the movies?

I want to take my 3 year old son to watch Happy Feet, but I am not sure if 3 is too young. He can watch an entire cartoon movie at home. I just don't know how the movie theater enviroment will affect him. Any advice?

Is a 3 year old too young to go to the movies?opera mini

Is he a quiet kid with a good attention span? (There are 3 year olds who are.) If he is, then sure, take him. But PLEASE take him to an early afternoon showing, when there will be fewer people there. And, if he gets fussy, take him out. The only way to find out how he will react is to do it.

And, don't change the pattern. Even if you are enjoying the movie, take him out of he starts acting up. That's the only way he will learn how to act in a movie theater. 3 year olds are smarter than people give them credit for. He will catch on after awhile.

Good luck!

Well, it is a good experience.
My husband always takes our 5 %26amp; 3 year old to the movies and they have a blast. I think any younger than three can get difficult.
Took my 3 year old to see Monster House and amazingly enough he sat transfixed throughout the whole thing. Took him to see Cars and he could not have cared less. Depends on the kid. I have had some good and some bad experiences at the theatre with him. Just be prepared, but you might be pleasantly suprised.
Sometimes they are too young, only you as their parent can know hae they may or may not behave (based on how well they sit through a movie at home)--If you take them my advice is to sit near the exit, so If they do act up you can leave quickly and quietly without distrupting anyone else.
It really depends on the kid because when my niece was little I would take her to movies all the time. She was 2 and would sit there the whole time and do really good but my 3 yr old is too busy!! We tried taking her to see cars when she was 2 1/2 and she drove us crazy!
The time spansion span of a 3 year old is very little. 15-20 minutes into the movie, he would probably get bored and restless. Two hour movies are not for tots, even if its a child movie.
I take my 3 year old all the time, he loves it. The only thing was the theater was really dark before the movie started and he didn't like that. Just buy him a big bucket of pop corn (if he likes pop corn) and sit back and listen to him laugh out loud. That's the best part........If you get there and see that he's not enjoying himself you could always leave.
I think he will have fun.
well, i have a 2 year old and he is a major pain in the movies, but my son is the type to never stay still and he is not into tv. but my friends son loves t.v and will just sit there. but yes i think you should take hime. test it see how it goes.there will most likely will be plenty of other kids there cause it is a kids movie . i say take him, if he is good with watching cartoons he should be good with the movies and he will be amazed
No that isn't to young, he will probably have a great time and never forget the experience. Have fun.
It will be dark and loud. How does your son handle the dark and loud noises? Find out how long the movie is. Do you think he can sit still that long? If you really think he is up to it then take him.. Just be sure to go to a matinee when there will be other people with small kids there, and be prepared to leave before the movie is over if necessary. And don't get mad at him if you have to. He may be able to go and enjoy it, but 3 is still pretty young and even if he can do it at home, he may not be ready for the theater. Only way to find out is to try it.
DO U THINK HE WILL BE ABLE TO SIT THROUGH THE WHOLE MOVIE??...I THINK YOU SHOULD TAKE HIM ESPECIALLY TO A KIDS MOVIE I TOOK MY DAUGHTER FOR THE FIRST TIME AROUND THE AGE OF 3, AT FIRST SHE WAS SCARED BECAUSE IT WAS DARK AND THE VOLUME AT THE MOVIES IS LOUD, BUT ONCE THE MOVIE ACTUALLY STARTED SHE WAS REALLY GOOD.
Be prepared to leave if he starts getting fussy. There is no better way to ruin the experience for everyone else in the theatre than have someone else's kid do it for them.

Worth a try, but remember that memories won't become permanent for another year or two. It will merely be a trial more for you than him.
As long as he can be quiet and not disturb other people during the movie its probably fine. You probably go to the movie anyways and if he gets bored then just take him home.
It's not too young in my opinion. You may want to be aware that theatres are VERY loud. Both my children where a little overwhelmed with the sound when they first went. Also, bring (or buy) healthy foods in case they do become distracted and you need to keep them seated.

Give it a shot. Here's my advice. Take him during the day (when it is cheaper and less crowded). We have a theatre near us that shows movies when they have been out for a long time and it's only like $3.00 for each of us. Don't take him near what would be a nap time for him (if he still takes naps). My son is 4 and he usually is pretty good. Don't give him too much to drink before the movie (so there aren't frequent potty runs). Hide something in your purse to snack on. This way if it isn't working out with him, you don't spend a lot of money on the whole adventure. Good luck!
I took my oldest daughter to the movies when she was 2. I brought in her carseat, a sippi cup, and a blankie. I filled a small cup with sorted popcorn (no seeds). She sat on her carseat (so theater chairs didn't fold on her), ate pop corn, and watched the movie like a big person.

It will depend on your childs natural temperment in public I think.
No its perfectly fine I believe..its needed for even a 3 yrs old small child...that makes him see the world around him..

see we know a thing ..its actually..always the way you bring up a child..n if you really want to make him stay at home and keep him confined..that will not going to give him a better of what he should start learning..why do we people bring children all the toys n play things ..its only that the childs starts knowing things be aware of it..he gets to learn things out of it...and 3 yrs isn't that small an age to keep him confined still..you should surely give him the experience..it will have its value...
Take him, but go to the matinee so you don't pay so much lol.

That way you won't be too disappointed if it doesn't work out.

Should I download a movie, that's out in theatres without paying for it?

The nearest movie theatre is miles away, I have no way of seeing Hitman, The Mist, and Beowulf("I am Beowulf" is a rip off of "This is Sparta!") I have no car, and everyone I know who does have a car is to much of a film snob to go with me to watch those movies. Public transportation is not an option either, because I am to proud to ride a bus, and am afraid of being seen. I can't get a ride either. I want to go pay for a ticket, because I am against piracy, but can't. Should I download the movies. I don't want to wait till they are out on blu ray either. I want to watch them now, and besides someone can ruin the ending, I didn't watch Fight Club in theaters and some Mexican ruined the ending. Same thing with 6th Sense some Mexican ruined the ending. I am a film student and stealing a is blasphemy to my profession. What should I do, What would muhammad do? WWJD?

Downloading the movie without paying for it is stealing. None of the excuses you gave would justify stealing. Also, you overlooked the possibility of using public transportation, citing that you are "too proud" to use it. There's nothing shameful about paying the fare and riding the bus. In fact, in these times of high fuel prices and global warming it should be encouraged. The truly shameful thing is that you apparently look down on people who ride the bus as evidenced by the fact that you are "afraid of being seen" on one. Taking a bus to a movie theater is a perfectly honorable thing to do. Stealing movies off the internet is not.

Has anyone seen a good movie lately?

I'm eagerly awaiting the new movies that come out around Thanksgiving because there doesn't seem to be anything good in the theaters.... or at least there's nothing left to see... Who can recommend a good movie? Maybe even something to rent?

Has anyone seen a good movie lately?lyric opera

These are a few of my faves that all should be available for rent:

1. After Hours (1985) -- "Paul Hackett (Griffin Dunne) embarks on a trip to New York City's SoHo district in hopes of hooking up with a recent acquaintance, the beautiful Marcy Franklin (Rosanna Arquette). But Paul loses all his money, and just to get back home he must endure a night of kooks, psychotics, punks and an angry mob trying to kill him. The supporting cast includes Linda Fiorentino, Teri Garr, John Heard and Catherine O'Hara, with Martin Scorsese directing."

2. Danny Deckchair (2003) - "Loopy Australian truck driver Danny (Rhys Ifans) hatches a novel way to escape his drab life after a fight with his girlfriend: He ties large helium-filled balloons to his deckchair and floats away into the sky. But a violent thunderstorm sends him hurtling out over the Outback, where he lands (as in the Wizard of Oz) in a small town where no one knows him. Meanwhile, the news media is in a frenzy about Danny's fantastic disappearance. "

3. Under the Lighthouse Dancing (1997) -- "Six old friends -- Harry (Jack Thompson), Emma (Jacqueline McKenzie), Juliet (Zoe Bertram), Louise (Naomi Watts), David (Aden Gillett) and Garth (Philip Holder) -- spirit away to an island for a short holiday, not knowing that Harry and Emma are about to elope. As they all scramble to make the event memorable, they also learn that Emma's gravely ill, and this romantic adventure may just be her last hurrah."

4. Beautiful Girls (1996) - "When Timothy Hutton returns to the small town he left behind, erstwhile friends, lovers and the scary thought of settling down swirl around him. A friend's unapproachable cousin (Uma Thurman) and the winsome teenager next door (Natalie Portman) afford differing glimpses of two possible futures. Director Ted Demme's smartly written, slice-of-life film offers a funny look into the male mind."

5. Flesh + Blood (1985) - "All's fair in love and war in this swoony-but-gritty drama from filmmaker Paul Verhoeven. A band of mercenaries led by Martin (Rutger Hauer) abducts Agnes (Jennifer Jason Leigh), the daughter of the feudal lord who cheats them out of their money. In spite of the other mercenaries' complaints, Martin grows to love Agnes, who's waiting to be saved by her beloved. Co-stars Tom Burlinson and Jack Thompson."

6. Bubba Ho-Tep (2003) - "Elvis Presley (Bruce Campbell) is an elderly resident in an East Texas rest home; seems he switched identities with an impersonator years before his "death" and then missed his chance to switch back. The King teams up with Jack (Ossie Davis), a fellow nursing home resident who thinks he's John F. Kennedy, and the two old codgers prepare to battle an evil Egyptian entity that's chosen their long-term care facility as its happy hunting grounds."

7. Chocolat (2000) - "An iconoclastic single mother (Oscar-nominee Juliette Binoche) and her young daughter move to a village in France and open a chocolate shop -- that's open Sundays -- across the street from a church. At first, Binoche's rich, sensuous desserts scandalize the town, but soon the villagers welcome the newcomers with open arms. Judi Dench, Lena Olin and Johnny Depp co-star in this 2000 Best Picture nominee."

8. The Count Of Monte Cristo (2002) - "A beautifully photographed rekindling of the classic Alexandre Dumas story. Edmond Dant猫s's (Jim Caviezel) life and plans to marry the beautiful Mercedes (Dagmara Dominczyk) are shattered when his best friend, Fernand (Guy Pearce), deceives him. After spending 13 miserable years in prison, Dant猫s escapes with the help of a fellow inmate (Richard Harris), cleverly insinuates himself into the French nobility and plots his revenge."

9. Defending Your Life (1991) - "After Daniel Miller (Albert Brooks) crashes his BMW convertible into a bus, he's transported to "Judgment City," where he meets the love of his life, Julia (Meryl Streep). Unfortunately, Daniel needs to defend his life on Earth before he can ascend to heaven with Julia. He frantically attempts to explain the positive things he's accomplished, but soon realizes that Julia may be too good for him."

10. Devil In a Blue Dress (1995) - "In this compelling neonoir set in 1948 Los Angeles, war veteran "Easy" Rawlins (Denzel Washington) is looking for work. When a stranger asks him to locate a missing woman, it sounds like a surefire way to snag some quick cash. But Rawlins gets more than he bargained for and soon becomes entangled in a murder mystery."
