What was the funniest blooper you spotted in a serious movie?

Or have you ever spotted any bloopers in any movies, that caused you to laugh at an inappropriate time in the theater?

A John Wayne western where a bus drove across the horizon behind him. I believe he was adressing the bad guys at the time. In westerns of the time it was also common to see jet trails in the sky, when the movie was supposed to be set in the 1800's.

I didn't see it in theaters, but I always thought that the stormtrooper hitting his head on that door in the first Star Wars movie was pretty funny.
in the movie " Memphis Belle " the inaccuracies of where the plane was sent on it's missions. was taking a U.S. history course at the time this movie came out and a fellow student used the movie instead of researching the actual event. he got into trouble for this
We didn't laugh during "Dances With Wolves" but we did later about Mary Mcdonnell's layered haircut. I am certain that women in that period of history didn't have a modern hairstyle like that. In some movies set in much earlier times, the women have hair styles that would be appropriate for Go Go dancers.

Is there anyone that has any disney movie rewards codes??

yes, i realize you're going to say im lazy, but i only have two movies that have the codes in them and im trying to get a theater (thingy) for VMK. id really appreciate your help

Is there anyone that has any disney movie rewards codes??theater

I wish I could help, but I don't purchase a lot of Disney DVDs.

Try getting some codes from friends/family that purchase Disney DVDs and don't need the codes or don't want them. If you have a friend/family member that also plays VMK and is saving up for a theatre set, try pooling your codes together, and splitting the set once you get it.

Note: I've heard you cannot enter two codes from the same movie, although I'm not positive this is true.

I was in the store buying an air conditioner and while I was waiting I watched the Simpsons movie trailer and at the end it said coming to DVD. I know the 10 season DVD will be out in the same month. But the trailer was for the movie not the 10th season. So what I "NEED!" to know is will it be going straight to DVD or will it go to theaters first.

Is HDMI input important on a home theater system?

I am looking to buy the Philips HTS3555 home theater system and i read that it had a HDMI output but no HDMI input. this particular system has a HDDVD player that acts as a reciever. I have a few questions and would appreciate any help!

1. what is a HDMI input for and is it important to have?

2. Basically i want to be able to watch movies in HD with surround sound, will i be able to do that without an HDMI input?

Is HDMI input important on a home theater system?pacific theater

You do not need to have an input, an output from the system is all you will need to watch movies in surround sound and HD. You will also ge thte best sound through the HDMI. The input port is basically used for recording I beleive, but to watch all u need is an ouput on the system and an input on the tv.

Is HDMI input important on a home theater system?phantom of the opera opera theater

the hdmi output from the receiver to the input on the TV.you just cant add any hdmi inputs to the receiver like a satellite or cable box you can hook up the audio the video will go to your TV.good luck
2. This system WILL give you HD movies and Surround Sound. But only for movies played on the internal HD drive.

1. This system is compromised in that you cannot plug any other HDMI device into it. Forget about a PS3, HD Cable box, BluRay player. This is why I usually dont recommend these systems.

Strange problem with speaker system with my home theater?

Hi. I have a strange problem with my Bose speaker system in my home theater. When I am watching a DVD, there are two ways I can hear the sound, either regular or digital. The digital sound is a lot better than the regular. But when I select the digital sound, the movies play fine, but at random parts, the sound turns off for a few seconds and then comes back. It is very strange. And I have noticed that when it turns off and comes back, the visual and audio are not in synch. This problem never happens when I select the regular sound.

By the way, when I say "select the sound on the Bose system" I really mean the wires. The regular sound wires work for T.V., V.C.R., and D.V.D., but the digital sound wires work for only D.V.D.

But what's going on? This is such a strange problem. And I know that my wires aren't loose or anything so that is not the problem.

Thanks.

Bose is overpriced for what you get.

Ok, I have seen this problem before. You are right it's weird, but just to make sure we go through the numbers, did you make sure all the wires were "shot" and there are no shorts in the wires? Sometimes that's it. But it seems as if your problem is coming from the DVD player were you loose sound, meaning the laser is not picking up the sound codes on your disk, it goes out, or the recording doesn't understand the code to what type it is DTS, so on...so it goes on comes back on after the delay to find that the video processor moved on and didn't want to wait for the audio.

Does it do it on multiple DVD's? Not just from the same group like say if you bought Season 3 of the Soprano's and it does it on disk 1 and 3. So it does it on different movies say it does it on Top Gun, and 24, and Soprano's and the Italian Job. Ok, can you swap out the DVD player and try it and see if that's it.

During this time, it would be good to check your speaker wires make sure that none of the copper strands got pulled out and are touching, it's just good maintenance. As all electronics go, they need constant attention and maintenance, especially the higher end products.
it's bose what do you expect.

What should I start with for a home theater system? how many amps/watts or whatever?

Okay I'm totally in the dark when it comes to this and I want to buy a home theater system for my bedroom to hook up to my dvd player, I just need the speakers, and the speakers that can hook up to my dvd player but I am willing to buy the reciever but only if it comes with any speficiations I should look for? Like how much should I expect to pay for? I need more than brand names like how many Amps or Watts should be good to start off with, I have a collection of horror movies so if that helps any yea, thanks so much for all your help.

Your question is quite broad and therefore not likely to get a lot of intelligent answers. Some general thoughts:

1) You will need a receiver to drive the speakers.

2) Watts are not nearly as important as quality. If you stick with good brands you will not need to concern yourself with watts unless you are going to drive some very big and inefficient speakers.

3) Price range for a surround sound system can be anywhere from $300 to $250,00 (that is one reason it is hard to respond briefly and specifically to your question).

4) Do not buy any systems for sale in parking lots or on ebay that you cannot listen to first. There are a lot of scam brands out there.

5) Do not be deceived. Bose is a rip-off brand that does not have great sound.

6) Your speakers make the biggest difference in your sound. Some good brands include M%26amp;K, Monitor, B%26amp;W, Paradigm, Energy, PSB, Wharfedale, Boston Acoustics and many more.

7) Good receiver brands include Denon, Onkyo, Yamaha, Marantz, and Harmon Kardon. I like Denon.

8) Get some decent quality interconnects and speaker wire.

9) Shop around alot! Listen to different systems with the same CD you bring with you.

10) If you buy over the internet you can often get great deals. If you buy at a high-end store you will get superior customer support and service. Give them a chance to price match.

Once you get a budget in mind and some brands to choose between, ask us here in the home theater section again. You will get some very informed answers (as well as some not so informed ones).

Check out the system we bought for $1,000...It proves you don't have to spend a lot of money to get great sound...Click right here: http://www.avtruths.com/bangforbuck.html
Since you're totally new and it's just a bedroom system, your best bet is a HTIB: Home Theater In a Box.

These Onkyos are your best bet:

Most stores (CircuitCity %26amp; BestBuy) carry them, so go check them out and then buy from the site above for half the price.

If you want to spend $1,000+, pair this speaker system with a receiver. These speakers are internet only, cutting out the middle man, so they're much higher quality for the $1 then what you'll find at any store.

If you have a specific budget that's higher than the above mentioned systems, shoot me an email.

PS+ order your speaker cables from monoprice.com. Forget about Monster cables and all that other crap, you're paying purely for the name- a piece of oxygen free copper is just that. Nothing more.
