in the movie everyone is hispanic and a girl( dont remember her name) is getting prepared for a quincernera and her dad works at a junk yard or a mechanic place can't remember. she ends up meeting this older guy and he doesnt know how to read and he was a highschool drop out but he get motivated by her to teach himself to read and gets his ged.
oh yeah and there is this one part he gives her a ride home and she says stop at the corner but he is like why? you live over there. she like yeah i know and he ends up getting mad at the fact it seems to him that she still hasnt told her dad that he's her guy and so they take time apart and on the day of quincenera they get back together. and i think her dads is ok with it.(oh yeah it looks like a old movie like maybe early 90s or late 80s nothing recent. i dont even think it made it to theaters)
